The clients owned a 3 bedroom 1930s house on a prominent corner plot in Claygate. Planning
permission was granted to build a new 5 bedroom house. The new house is within a
conservation area and therefore the proposed plans had to be approved by the Conservation officer
in Elmbridge Borough Council. The main principle of the design was to create an authentic Victorian
home, paying attention to the Victorian brickwork, windows and detailing.
